What We Believe About Sanctification

• It is God’s will for each believer to be filled with (surrendered to) the Holy Spirit (Eph 5:18) and be completely sanctified (Eph 5:18, 1 Thess 5:23), being separated from sin and the world and dedicated to the fullness of the message and purposes of Christ.
• To this end, believers receive power to know, love and obey Christ (Eph 1:15-23), to live a holy life of love as His ambassadors (Acts 1:8, 2 Cor 5:18-20).
• This is both a crisis and a progressive experience worked out in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion (Rom 6:1-14, Eph 1:15-23, Phil 2:12-13, Rom 8:28-29).
