What We Believe About Church

• The Church consists of all people, in all places, over all time, who confess they are sinners, repent of their sin, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ alone, trusting they are justified through His blood and are born again of the Holy Spirit.
• Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church (Eph. 1:22-23), which has been commissioned and spiritually gifted by Him, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to go into all the world as His witness, preaching the good news of Christ and His Word to all people with a demonstration of power and unselfish, Christ-like love.
• Valley Community Church is a local expression of the church made up of believers who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the proclamation of the Word of Christ, for prayer, authentic fellowship, to fulfill the mission God has given us and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. (Acts 2:41-47, Matt. 28:18).
• Professing believers who trust in Christ alone for their salvation are candidates for water baptism by emersion (Acts 2:28, Rom. 6:3, Mark 16:16) and may partake of the Lord’s communion.
